Start your weekend with fresh air, beautiful scenery, camaraderie, and a feeling of accomplishment. Volunteer tasks include maintenance of the park’s eleven-mile trail system (lopping, weed eating, improving drainage, etc.) along with an occasional project involving the farm, native gardens, or other area of the park.

We will provide the tools and training on how to use them. Please wear closed-toes shoes and bring work gloves and water. Children ages 12 and older are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Email sweetrunvolunteer@dcr.virginia.gov or call 540-668-6230 with any questions.
