DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless stated otherwise, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the job announcement's close date.
Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application). We will, however, accept paper applications for some state park slots. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.
Certain positions require a criminal background check, a conflict of interest financial statement or both. Law-enforcement positions require a fingerprint-based FBI investigation. DCR is an EEO/AA/ADA Employer.

Occoneechee State Park is accepting applications for an Office Assistant position.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a self-motivated and organized individual who possesses great interpersonal skills to successfully assist park management with administrative functions and work harmoniously with the public, volunteers, co-workers, and supervisors. This position will provide customer service to park visitors in-person, via phone, and email; maintain a process of planning for, tracking, and meeting deadlines promptly; and utilize critical thinking skills to develop solutions.

Experience is not required, but is preferred. We provide on-the-job training. Weekends and holiday work are routinely required. Employees may be required to perform other park-related duties during emergencies or on a non-recurrent basis.
